One of the founding principles of nGAP Incorporated was to provide a better way for small businesses to secure orders from the Federal Government.

While some small businesses have years of experience (and contacts), many are newer organizations that have navigated the tough and expensive path to get a GSA schedule or IDV award only to be faced with the problem of securing actual orders.  Many lack the marketing and sales skills to do this.  Most do not have the funds to take on expensive marketing efforts.

To provide the help needed by small business, nGAP has created a program called the Small Business Initiative (SBI). 

The SBI is defined as follows:

	To create relationships within the small business community, both individual firms and organizations (like the SBA) that support the goal of providing better sales and marketing support for members of their community.
	To provide a focus on small business within nGAP.
	To provide a highly cost effective marketing toolkit that supplements existing tools and efforts.
	To embrace leadership from the small business community to help guide our efforts.

Our Gateway provides ease of use for buyers to more easily find small business set asides and the wide variety of products and services available from our small business subscribers.  Those are helpful tools for buyers that also benefit vendors.

For small businesses we have created a special section on the Gateway that provides an impressive set of marketing tools for a very attractive monthly fee.  Subscribers are encouraged to continually check this site to find out about the latest offerings for their consideration.

In addition, we have instituted a Board of Advisors that provides guidance and leadership to our efforts.
