| nGAP process- Contract Prime
Perspective |
The following describes how this gateway works from a Contract Primes
perspective:
|
The Contract Prime section of the gateway contains information
on the benefits of nGAP (Overview) and a brief summary of how nGAP
works (this document- nGAP Process). It also includes a sign
up section where you can register to join nGAP after you have reviewed
the above information. |
 |
As part of your registration process, you will: |
| |
 |
Complete a standard registration form |
| |
 |
Read and electronically approve terms and conditions |
| |
 |
Attach the contract/vehicle information you want included in nGAP |
| |
 |
Submit a set of qualitative words or certifications that distinguish
you from other vendors |
 |
After registering and receiving a log-in ID and password, you
are ready to participate in opportunities from Buyers who use
nGAP. |
 |
Once a Buyer logs in, they can search nGAP contracts/vehicles
and vendor certifications/key word entries. |
 |
Buyer can search by multiple means. A search can specify
a standard identifier code, such as a NAICS or NIGC. |
 |
If more qualitative requirements exist, Buyers can search on
key words. |
 |
As part of this selection process, Buyers can specify contract
type and/or set aside (8a, Disadvantaged Small Business, etc)
they want to see included in the results. |
 |
Buyers can search on keywords. The result of the search is a list of entries who meet
the criteria selected by the Buyer. |
 |
From this list Buyer can chose to contact one or more Primes. This
is often done by email through nGAP. Buyer may attach a
Statement of Work (SOW), Purchase Requisition, or any other material
that helps describe the Buyer’s specific need. |
 |
After reviewing vendor responses Buyer selects the best value
and continues their internal approval process. |
 |
Once a Task Order is created within Buyer’s legacy
system, the Task Order is awarded to Prime and Task Order info is
then entered into nGAP by Buyer. |
Look for the upcoming demo to get a fuller understanding of how nGAP
works and how it can save you time and money. In the meantime,
please call and talk to one of our contract professionals.
